Reducing valves are installed where it is required to reduce from one level of pressure to another, whilst providing the required fluid flow to satisfy a downstream demand, irrespective of fluctuations in the inlet pressure or flow demand. The valves manufactured by Broady fall into two
categories, direct acting and pilot operated.
The Reducing Valves - Type B2

- High Capacity with attendant high accuracy.
- Suitable for Steam and Gases.
- Inlet Pressure up to 68 Barg (1000 Psig).
- Reduced Pressure from 0.07 Barg to 17.0 Barg (1 Psig to 250 Psig).
- Maximum temperature is 400ºC (Cast Steel).
- Valve available from ½" to 6" NB.
- New design available for Wet Steam Service.

Relief/Safety Relief Valves

Relief/safety relief valves are installed to automatically prevent a safe pressure being exceeded in fired or unfired pressure vessels or pipeline systems.

Relief/Safety Relief Valves

Sometimes called surplus valves, sustaining valves are designed to control the upstream pressure and to surplus away liquids or gases so as to recycle rather than waste, as in the case of relief valves.
