F Series
General Information

Introduction

The F-series has been developed with primary functionality only in mind, processing the sensor signal into meaningful information which it then displays. The range is suitable for panel or wall-mounting and features the same user interface as the 100- and 200-series products for more advanced measurements.
Industrial design
The synthetic ABS enclosure has been primarily designed for panel mounting. A major advantage of its design is the minimal amount of depth clearance required when fitting. Alternatively, a back-lit case option transforms the F-series into a compact IP65/NEMA 4 wall-mount design, suitable for industrial environments. The electronics have an operational temperature range from -30 up to +80o Celsius (-22° F / +178° F).
Power-supply
There are four power supply options for the F-series instrument. As standard, a 5-28V AC/DC power supply can be connected. With the loop-powered option, it is powered from the input signal. The internal lithium battery option elimiantes the need for external power and features several smart power management techniques to extend the battery life. Finally, the power module option will accept 80-240V AC and provides sensor excitation of 8 - 24V DC.
Input features
The F-series will interface with reed switch sensors, coil pick-ups, NPN/PNP pulse outputs or Namur sensors. Analog inputs of (0)4-20mA, (0)2-10V DC or 0-100KOhm can be accepted as well as signals from PT100 elements. Square root calculation and filter functions are available to process the signal.
Output features
Some models are equiped with a transistor outputs for high / low alarms, pulse output or the control of valves/relays.
Operational
Fluidwell is acutely aware of the excessive amount of equipment which today's technicians need to control. For this reason, a clear user-friendly menu structure was developed for programming all Fluidwell products a number of years ago. Since all models are programmed in the same logical manner, technicians can now save a great deal of time and effort. The Operators main information is displayed in clear 17mm and 8mm alpha-numerical characters. Secondary information will be displayed after pressing the SELECT button.
