Operation :
The sample enters the cabinet and flows to the sample-conditioning pump, where the sample is prepared for homogenisation. It passes to the RTE designed Mixing Head where final homogenisation occurs. The homogenised sample is then passed to the measuring cell where it is subjected to a beam of infra red light. The light is absorbed and scattered by the sample and the light receivers in the cell collect these signals and pass them to the processing centre where the signals are converted into a PPM reading and displayed on the unit. The signal is also converted to an analogue output signal and passed to the DCS (or similar) system. After measurement the sample is returned to drain. Fresh water can be introduced via a three-way valve to allow periodic checking of the system to ensure that the Zero set point is correct on clean water. If the Zero point is not correct, the operator can reset it.

OCD50 Series Condensate Monitors

A boiler condensate monitor designed to cater for the special conditions associated with high sample temperatures in condensate applications. This unit will detect oil in much smaller quantities than a conventional observation tank, and so prevent the potential damage to high pressure boilers caused by oil contamination.
