SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT POLICY

Hablem Oil & Gas (M) Sdn Bhd is committed to provide a safe workplace for all of its workers as to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994, Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974 and any other applicable legislation, and will strive to eliminate and prevent any foreseeable hazards and risks which may result in accidents, or personal injuiry/illness, and damage to property and environment. It is our policy to ensure and continuously improve, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety of all employees, contractors, clients, and any other persons who may directly affected by the activities of the company.  

In fulling this commitment, Hablem will :

  • Comply with applicable HSE legal and requirements and standards in all activities or services carried out.
  • Ensure that significant risks arising from work activities under our control are eliminated or adequately controlled.
  • Develop and implement appropriate occupational health and safety procedures and safe working practices to achieve compliance with legal requirements through good occupational health and safety performance.
  • Provide adequate resources, training and competent personnel in implementing the HSE management system.
  • Regularly review our HSE policy, objectives, management system, and performance for continual improvement.
  • Practice good personal behavior and obey all rules and instructions implemented in all activities.
  • Continuously work towards Hablem's Safety & Health Objectives and Targets to achieve zero incidents and zero damage to property and environment.

 

OHSAS OBJECTIVES

  1. To ensure not more than 1 case of accident per project.
  2. To ensure not more than RM 1,000 penalty cost of safety non-conformance per month per site.
  3. To ensure zero fatalities per site per year.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES

  1. 100% segregation & proper disposal of waste.
  2. '0' cases of public complaints on environmental pollution.
  3. '0' cases of chemical leakage & spillage.
  4. 100% re-use of paper.
  5. Ensure no wastage of electricity & water.
